About The Position

Tekmetric is the leading platform for the automotive repair industry and we are growing fast. We have a core shop management platform that thousands of auto repair shops depend on every day, a growing suite of add-on products including payments and marketing, and more in the pipeline. That growth creates real complexity. Going to market with a multi-product platform across multiple segments, while extending our primarily sales-led model into product-led growth motions for select products, demands a product marketing function that is strategic, cross-functional, and built to scale. This is a hands-on opportunity to build that function. You will own how we position and commercialize our products, coordinate how we go to market, and create the clarity that allows every team to execute with confidence. You will ensure our products are not just built, but understood, chosen, and adopted by the shops we serve. The right person for this role is not looking to manage a team from day one. They are excited to do the work themselves, build the foundation, and grow the function over time. Requirements

  • 10+ years of product marketing experience in B2B SaaS, with a track record of owning positioning, go-to-market strategy, and revenue enablement end to end.
  • Proven ability to operate as both a strategic leader and a hands-on executor – as comfortable facilitating a positioning workshop as writing a sales playbook or analyzing win-loss data.
  • Experience across both sales-led and product-led growth motions and the judgment to know which approach fits which product, segment, or stage of the customer journey.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership. You know how to build trust across product, sales, marketing, and customer success, and drive alignment without formal authority.
  • A commercial mindset. You think about your work in terms of pipeline, win rates, and revenue, not assets created or launches delivered.
  • Experience with pricing and packaging strategy in a multi-product SaaS environment.
  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills. You can craft a narrative that makes the buyer the hero and make it hold up across every conversation, campaign, and channel.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with data. You use metrics to make decisions, not just report on them.
  • Curiosity about AI and how it is changing what product marketing can do. You are thinking about how to build a modern, scalable PMM function that uses technology to extend your team's reach.
  • Experience building in fast-moving, high-growth environments where the roadmap evolves and the market moves quickly.
  • You've built something from the ground up before – a function, a framework, a go-to-market motion and you know the difference between building it right and just getting it done. You want to get it right.
  • You're a strong communicator, but what sets you apart is that you earn trust through the work, not the presentation. You show up for your teammates, you keep the buyer's perspective in the room even when the conversation drifts inward, and you can make a complex idea land in a single sentence.
  • You'll build structure around moving targets and that's the part that energizes you, not the part you tolerate.

Responsibilities

  • Own Positioning, Messaging, and Market Intelligence: Develop and maintain Tekmetric's positioning at the portfolio level and for each product we offer. Build a deep understanding of our buyers through customer interviews, win-loss conversations, sales call analysis, and ongoing competitive research. Define buyer personas at the product and segment level and ensure those insights inform positioning, messaging, and roadmap conversations. Develop clear, differentiated positioning that answers "why Tekmetric, why now" for each product and for the portfolio as a whole. Craft the messaging frameworks that every team draws from — built around the buyer's language, not ours. Own the voice of the buyer at Tekmetric, ensuring market and customer insights continuously inform product, sales, and marketing decisions. Build and maintain customer relationships that keep you close to what the market actually needs, not just what we think it needs.
  • Lead Product Commercialization and Go-to-Market Orchestration: Own how Tekmetric brings products and features to market – not just the launch plan, but the full commercial strategy behind it. Develop integrated go-to-market plans for product launches covering positioning, messaging, pricing and packaging recommendations, sales enablement, and campaign support. Partner with Product Management and leadership on pricing and packaging decisions across the portfolio. Track adoption goals for new and existing products, identify barriers, and work with the right teams to address them. Work with Demand Generation on campaigns that build awareness and drive pipeline. Coordinate launch execution across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success so every team shows up with the same story at the same moment. Work alongside our sales enablement leader to ensure playbooks, competitive positioning, and persona-specific messaging are accurate and accessible.
  • Build the Product Marketing Function, Team, and System: Develop a charter that defines what product marketing owns, how it works with other teams, and how it will be measured and share it with leadership and key stakeholders. Establish clear metrics that connect product marketing's work to revenue and growth, and report on progress regularly so the organization understands the impact of the function. Design the processes and frameworks that make the function consistent and repeatable as it grows. Hire and develop product marketers aligned to our product lines and go-to-market motions as the team expands. Architect a product marketing system built for the world we are in – one that uses AI to synthesize market signals at scale, govern messaging across the organization, and enable every go-to-market team with the right story at the right moment.
