About The Position

The Senior Director of Product Marketing, Platform is responsible for defining and scaling the Asurion platform narrative as a clear, differentiated advantage in the market. This role leads how we position, structure, and bring our platform to life, ensuring it is understood not as a collection of capabilities, but as a cohesive system that delivers measurable impact for our clients and customers. You will build the foundation for how Asurion shows up to the market, shaping platform positioning, influencing product direction, and ensuring a consistent, credible, and compelling story across buyers, analysts, and partners.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in tech or platform product marketing, including leadership roles
  • Proven experience defining and scaling platform or category-level positioning
  • Strong ability to simplify complex technologies into clear, compelling narratives
  • Deep experience in competitive analysis and market strategy
  • Track record of influencing cross-functional stakeholders at senior levels
  • Experience working with analysts and shaping external market perception
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, evolving environments

Responsibilities

  • Own platform positioning and narrative. Define and evolve a clear, differentiated platform story that resonates with enterprise audiences and sets Asurion apart.
  • Bring clarity to complex capabilities. Translate technical and operational complexity into simple, outcome-driven messaging that connects with business and technical buyers.
  • Shape how the platform is packaged and presented. Define how capabilities are organized, described, and brought to market to maximize clarity, relevance, and impact.
  • Sharpen our competitive positioning. Monitor market trends, analyze competitors, and identify opportunities to strengthen differentiation and inform strategy.
  • Partner across the business. Work closely with Product, Sales, and Solutions to ensure consistent messaging across platform, solutions, industries, and buyer segments.
  • Influence product and go-to-market strategy. Provide market input into product direction and ensure the roadmap aligns with customer needs and competitive dynamics.
  • Drive analyst and influencer engagement. Build relationships with key analysts and industry voices to strengthen Asurion’s market credibility and visibility.
  • Develop partner narratives. Collaborate with strategic partners (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) to define joint value propositions and go-to-market positioning.
  • Lead launch strategy and execution. Ensure new platform capabilities are introduced with clear messaging, strong alignment, and market impact.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team. Develop and scale a team responsible for platform positioning, messaging, and strategy that aligns with the growth of our business.
