About The Position

CSI is seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Senior Director of Money Movement Product Strategy to lead the vision, architecture, and competitive positioning of our end-to-end payments portfolio. This role will shape how we deliver modern, scalable, and compliant money movement solutions across all major payment rails. This leader will partner closely with product, engineering, and executive stakeholders to translate market insights and regulatory trends into long-term product strategies that drive growth, innovation, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in payments or money movement products, with leadership at the director level or higher
  • Deep expertise across ACH, Wire, RTP, FedNow, P2P, and international payment systems
  • Strong experience with vendor selection, RFP processes, and contract negotiation
  • Proven understanding of payments economics, pricing strategy, and margin optimization
  • Experience defining non-functional requirements for large-scale systems (scalability, reliability, compliance)
  • Familiarity with ISO 20022 and modern payment standards
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence executive stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Define Product Strategy & Vision: Develop and own the long-term strategy for CSI’s money movement portfolio across ACH, Wire, RTP, FedNow, P2P, and international payments.
  • Align product direction with company growth goals, market trends, and evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance capabilities, enter new segments, and differentiate CSI’s offerings.
  • Lead Build vs. Buy Decisions: Evaluate whether to build internally or partner with third-party providers using structured RFP/RFI processes.
  • Conduct vendor due diligence, including pricing, performance, and long-term viability.
  • Lead contract strategy and negotiations in partnership with Legal and Finance.
  • Drive Pricing & Revenue Strategy: Own pricing frameworks across payment rails, including volume-based and customer-segment models.
  • Partner with Finance to assess margin impact and optimize unit economics.
  • Monitor competitive pricing trends and recommend adjustments to maintain market competitiveness.
  • Shape Payment Orchestration Strategy: Define requirements for CSI’s Payment Orchestration Layer (POL), including intelligent routing, fallback logic, and real-time decisioning.
  • Ensure architecture supports multi-rail processing while maximizing cost, speed, and reliability.
  • Partner with Engineering to validate long-term scalability and extensibility.
  • Establish Non-Functional Standards: Define performance benchmarks for scalability, reliability, security, and compliance.
  • Evaluate engineering solutions against these standards to mitigate risk and ensure long-term stability.
  • Provide Executive Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert on payments trends, regulations, and innovation.
  • Present strategic recommendations and roadmap updates to executive leadership.
  • Represent CSI in industry forums and stay ahead of emerging technologies and best practices.
