We are seeking a senior director of operations to lead and optimize operations in a fast-paced avionics integration environment. The ideal candidate will combine strategic planning skills with hands-on operational oversight, ensuring compliance with aviation standards and driving efficiency across the team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in operations management within an aviation or avionics environment – must.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 compliance and standards flow down – must.
  • Strong background in supply chain processes and production scheduling.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for internal teams and external customers.
  • Ability to manage under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to travel to company and customer sites
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

  • Experience with SAP ERP - advantage
  • Experience with Matrix organizations (plus)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and guide 2 team leaders and their teams (approx. 12 employees).
  • Develop and maintain integration schedules aligned with supply chain and customer demand.
  • Forecast material availability and proactively mitigate risks.
  • Communicate regularly with supply chain elements and with customer facing teams on status, projections, and risk management.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100 standards for handling aircraft components.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to maintain configuration control
  • Support cultural change initiatives.
  • Act as a strategic planner while remaining capable of stepping into daily operations when needed.
