We are seeking a Leader for the role of Sr. Director projects to join our team of Subject Matter Experts (SME). This person would be recognized as an industry expert and an advisor on creative and sustainable solutions for water and wastewater. As the Sr. Director you will manage a small team of senior and principal process engineers. Drive effective resource utilization and coordinate workload across team. In this working manager role you would work closely with the Global Process Engineering (GPE) Director, and other SME’s within the Global Process Engineering Group to successfully set the strategy, suggest creative designs, review designs for new projects, providing technical support and guidance to all business units globally on integrated complex water and wastewater treatment operating systems. You will at times be required to troubleshoot for sustainable operations and provide technical guidance in supporting new growth team initiatives. The successful candidate must have strong leadership and people skills, with breadth of expertise in water and wastewater treatment solutions for industrial and emerging markets such as but not limited to Microelectronics, Lithium, brine concentration, chemical and power sectors along with deep understanding on High Recovery systems and competitive technologies landscape.

  • B.S. in Chemical, Process Engineering, or other equivalent technical discipline.
  • Master’s in chemical, Process Engineering, or other equivalent technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 20 years engineering experience in the water and wastewater reuse industry out of which minimum of 15-year experience reflects dedicated expertise, with in depth chemistry knowledge, understanding in designing operations and troubleshooting of complex integrated flowsheet solutions.
  • Strong communication skills to facilitate process optimization projects between the internal engineering team and the customer.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)

  • Phys-Chem, UF, NF, RO, IX, MLD/ZLD, Electro-deionization (EDI), thermal technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Motivate, and guide our team and regional process engineers, to develop creative design and solutions which are environmentally friendly managing ecological balance with highest level of quality standards for our customers.
  • Champion talent development coaching/mentoring/training for the teams along with developing, implementing, and leading the transfer of knowledge/lessons learned out to the process engineering functions.
  • Lead discussions with our customers Technical Experts, external EPC, and Consultants and own the overall process highlighting our creative sustainable solution against competition to agree on path forward while mitigating business exposure / risk.
  • Own integrated process design reviews, along with the interaction with regional process engineers, Project Managers, Sales, Commercial Engineers, FSR’s and customers on technical issues.
  • Document the process reviews observations with clear action Items, mitigation plans and work closely with regional teams to support seeking final approvals from the Process Engineering Director of GPE and our BS&P Paris office.
  • Play a key role in the process of Developing new or update existing process design guidelines and provide trainings to process engineers globally.
  • Analyze, review, and give advice on project / pilot / product data, provide optimization guidance, and approve technical results / recommendations on reports.
  • Contribute to VWT’s market leadership through papers and presentations in conferences.
