About The Position

Provides leadership for Finance technology strategy, modernization, Finance-owned business systems, vendor management, data and reporting capabilities, ERP transformation initiatives, and enterprise program delivery. The position serves as a strategic bridge between Finance and IT, ensuring Finance technology solutions support current operational needs while continuing to evolve and modernize to meet future business objectives. Provides leadership of product management practices across shared service domains (e.g., HR, Finance, Marketing, Core IT) to improve how work is shaped, prioritized, and delivered across the organization. Partner with business and technology leaders to bring structure and transparency to demand, ensuring requests are clearly defined, aligned to priorities, and positioned for effective execution. Translate diverse stakeholder needs into cohesive product and service direction, applying industry practices and organizational standards to guide prioritization and sequencing of work across both project-based and operational efforts. Operate within a flexible delivery environment, helping shared services coordinate effectively with agile delivery teams and traditional project models as appropriate. Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to teams while fostering a culture of clarity, accountability, and continuous improvement. The work location for this exciting opportunity is virtual. The selected candidate will work 100% remotely from home with preference to be in eastern or central time zones.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field required
  • Minimum 10+ years of related experience
  • Experience in business applications, shared services, or enterprise platforms and working across business and IT functions in complex environments
  • Minimum 7+ years of people leadership experience
  • Ability to bring structure and clarity to complex, high-volume demand environments
  • Strong facilitation skills to align stakeholders and guide prioritization without direct authority
  • Ability to synthesize complex and often conflicting inputs into clear direction and prioritized work
  • Strong judgment in applying industry practices and internal standards
  • Experience managing roadmaps, backlogs, or portfolios across multiple stakeholders
  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in evolving environments and mixed delivery models
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts
  • Leadership mindset focused on practical improvement, learning, and adaptability

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in nonprofit, humanitarian, or mission-driven organizations.
  • Familiarity with Lean Agile/SAFe framework.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor technology trends and emerging capabilities to identify opportunities to improve Finance processes, systems, reporting, and user experience.
  • Drive technology-enabled modernization initiatives (EPM, ERP, etc.) that improve efficiency, controls, reporting, and maximize business value realization.
  • Oversee system administration, configuration management, user access management, release coordination, testing support, and operational governance activities.
  • Collaborate with IT to manage relationships with Finance technology vendors and partners to ensure platform performance, service quality, and alignment with business needs.
  • Partner with Finance stakeholders, IT, and data teams to support Finance data, reporting, analytics, and data governance initiatives.
  • Partner with Finance process owners and IT to define and maintain roadmaps for products, platforms, and service capabilities, aligning to enterprise priorities while accounting for operational needs, compliance requirements, and dependencies.
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders, IT partners, and vendors, acting as a trusted advisor and providing leadership, coaching, and guidance to team members and matrixed teams on day-to-day work as well as large cross-functional initiatives.
  • Lead practices to shape, assess, and prepare demand prior to formal intake, ensuring requests are clearly defined, aligned to business priorities, and ready for submission through established organizational processes.
  • Facilitate prioritization across stakeholders by understanding and reconciling diverse perspectives, needs, and constraints, synthesizing inputs into clear priorities and sequencing of work.
  • Create and maintain a transparent view of demand, priorities, and work in progress, improving flow and reducing fragmentation across project-based and operational work.
  • Establish operating policies and procedures that affect departments and subordinate sections and work units.
  • Interpret company-wide policies and procedures.
  • Develop budgets, schedules, and performance standards.
