About The Position

Seekr is seeking a Sr. Director, Federal Marketing to own the company's federal go-to-market strategy. This role is responsible for the narrative, messaging, strategy, and marketing plan that supports the federal and defense sales team. The individual will translate Seekr's platform into language understood by federal buyers and build marketing support to accelerate the sales process. This is not a role that duplicates existing marketing functions (product marketing, demand gen, PR, creative) but rather directs and orchestrates them for the federal market. The position can be filled at the Director or Senior Director level depending on experience.

Requirements

  • 12+ years in B2G marketing, with significant experience marketing to federal, defense, and/or intelligence community buyers.
  • Understanding of government procurement processes, including cycles, vehicles, the role of SIs, and procurement friction.
  • Proven ability to own a segment or go-to-market motion, driving outcomes by influencing other teams without direct management.
  • Fluency in the federal/defense narrative landscape, including relevant trade press, events, policy cycles, and effective communication strategies for earning trust with program offices.
  • Demonstrated partnership with a sales or business development organization, preferably a government sales team, with a focus on pipeline contribution and pursuit support.
  • Strong judgment in messaging and positioning within a technical, high-stakes category, with the ability to translate complex platform capabilities into credible and clear communication for defense buyers.
  • Ability to operate as a partner across a Go-To-Market organization, influencing without authority and orchestrating efforts.
  • Federal sector experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the federal narrative and messaging, positioning Seekr to federal and defense buyers, differentiating against incumbents and internal development, and creating compelling proof points.
  • Adapt the company's master messaging into federal-ready language while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Build the annual and quarterly federal marketing strategy and plan, setting priorities aligned with the sales team's pursuits and owning the federal pipeline contribution target.
  • Determine optimal spending, presence, and messaging priorities for the federal market.
  • Serve as the primary marketing counterpart to government sales leadership, working closely with the sales team to understand active pursuits and develop supporting content, campaigns, and references.
  • Partner with Field Marketing to drive Seekr's presence at key federal trade shows and symposia, collaborating on strategy, selection, and ROI.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage federal policy and mission milestones for marketing initiatives, partnering with Product Marketing, Content, and PR to produce relevant materials such as capability statements, RFP/RFI support, and federal proof libraries.
  • Manage the marketing aspects of federal partner and channel relationships, including systems integrators and channel partners, to drive demand.
  • Ensure Seekr's federal credibility infrastructure, including advisory board voices, clearances, contract wins, and awardable status, is actively promoted in the market.
