Sr. Director, Design - Product & Experience
About The Position
Bevi is seeking a Senior Director, Product & Experience Design to lead the team responsible for the aesthetic and functional design of its products. This role will shape the physical industrial design and UI/UX design of Bevi machines and their interfaces, ensuring a cohesive brand experience. The position emphasizes a strong connection to customer needs and involves driving innovation in product design. The role requires a blend of craft and leadership, setting design vision and standards while managing a team. Collaboration with Marketing, Brand Creative, Product Management, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing is key to bringing the Bevi brand to life cohesively across all touchpoints.
Requirements
- 10+ years of design experience
- 5+ years leading both physical/industrial design and digital/UI-UX design
- Experience ideally for connected hardware or consumer electronics products
- Proven experience managing and growing a multidisciplinary design team
- A portfolio that shows range across hardware and digital, with strong craft in both
- Experience owning CMF decisions and working closely with engineering and manufacturing partners to bring designs to production
- Comfortable setting vision and being in the details
- Strong communicator who can hold their own with engineers on manufacturing constraints and with executives on brand and product vision
- A track record of building or scaling design systems that keep a growing product line consistent

Responsibilities
- Define and maintain a coherent design language across Bevi's hardware and digital products.
- Set the bar for craft across industrial design and UI/UX, and be hands-on enough to raise it.
- Own CMF (color, material, finish) standards and decisions for hardware, in partnership with Product, Engineering, and Operations.
- Push Bevi's products forward through design innovation, not just execution.
- Guide the executive team through the lens of design principles.
- Own how every drinker, client, and partner experiences the Bevi product, from first impression to repeat use.
- Treat user experience as the engine of product love, driving repeat pours, advocacy, and growth.
- Design for the full journey of drinkers, clients, partners, and technicians.
- Manage and grow a team of Industrial Designers and UI/UX Designers, ensuring alignment to a single vision.
- Coach designers on craft and career growth, and build a scalable team.
- Partner with Product Management to translate roadmap priorities into design direction.
- Work directly with Engineering to protect design integrity from concept through production.
- Represent design in product strategy and planning conversations.
- Build and maintain design systems for consistency and speed.
- Establish clear standards and processes for design review, approval, and execution.
