About The Position

The Senior Director, Pre‑Cruise & Onboard Revenue, Strategy & Operations is accountable for the end‑to‑end commercial performance, strategic direction, and operational execution of Royal Caribbean International’s Pre‑Cruise (Hybris) platform, representing over $2B in annual onboard revenue and growing at double‑digit rates.    This role owns Pre‑Cruise (PCP) commercial strategy and performance, including pricing, inventory, promotions, partner management, and digital enablement across all onboard revenue categories such as Beverage, Shore Excursions, Dining, Internet, Spa, Photo, and branded merchandise. The position also sets the long‑term strategy for hotel operations revenue, concessionaire partnerships, and shipboard revenue execution, while driving innovation through digital platforms, analytics, and automation.   A critical element of this role is close partnership with Hotel Operations, Digital, AI, Marketing, IT, Accounting, Product Development, and external concessionaires to deliver sustained revenue growth while enhancing the guest experience. This position is also responsible for leading shipboard Marketing & Revenue (M&R) managers in support of onboard operations, dry docks, and new ship launches.

Requirements

  • Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are required.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities, including financial modeling, operations research, and statistical analysis.
  • Strong decision-making experience, critical thinking, cost/benefit analysis, using logic and analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches.
  • Ability to influence and deliver results across all levels of the organization, including without direct reporting authority.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to build effective relationships with senior leadership and internal and external partners.
  • High level of emotional intelligence.
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • 5+ years of management experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred; minimum 10 years related financial and business analysis experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Must possess strong written and oral communication skills and be able to work effectively with all levels of operational personnel.
  • Strong computer and analytical skills are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Hyperion, SQL, Essbase and business intelligence tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evolves and oversees the implementation of product, pricing, inventory, and promotional strategies to maximize revenue while maintaining a positive guest experience.
  • Leads teams to ensure all available inventory is open for sale, pricing is current, promotions are executed effectively, and products are configured correctly across IT and accounting systems.
  • Drives the digital agenda to support the evolution of Pre‑Cruise and onboard revenue, accelerating app‑based revenue growth through platform enhancements, pricing automation, marketing personalization, and related initiatives.
  • Partners with Hotel Operations, Marketing, Sales (Call Center and Trade), IT, Accounting, Digital, International, and external vendors to deliver revenue‑generating initiatives.
  • Partners with Product Development, Marketing, Digital, IT, and external partners to evolve onboard and home‑delivery offerings and ensure seamless integration across digital channels.
  • Sets the strategic plan for hotel operations revenue, driving performance across all operating units.
  • Develops and executes the promotional calendar to capitalize on peak demand and sailing patterns.
  • Partners with senior hotel operations leadership to develop operating plans and lead key strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Identifies and champions capital investment opportunities across digital, marketing, and product initiatives to drive incremental revenue growth.
  • Establishes revenue targets, monitors key performance indicators, and presents results and insights to senior leadership.
  • Leads and mentors a high‑performing team through regular feedback, coaching, and development.
  • Oversees shipboard Marketing & Revenue (M&R) managers, setting plans, targets, and operating strategies.
  • Performs other duties as required.
