About The Position

In accordance with FLACRA’s mission, vision, and values, the Senior Director of Integrated Treatment Services provides visible, on-site clinical and operational leadership. This position ensures the delivery of whole-person care to individuals ages five and older and their families by integrating mental health, substance use, medical, nursing, peer, care management, and administrative services. The Senior Director is accountable for timely access, client experience, clinical quality, safety, regulatory compliance, workforce stability, financial stewardship, continuous quality improvement, and achievement of the clinic’s key performance indicators (KPIs). The Senior Director also ensures that agency and program operations align with regulatory requirements and strategic business goals. This leader translates organizational strategy into consistent daily practice, fosters a person-centered, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and culturally responsive environment, and establishes clear accountability for team and clinic performance. This leader also models and upholds the organization’s servant leadership approach.

Requirements

  • Licensed Mental Health Professional with at least five years of experience in OMH- and OASAS-licensed services, including experience implementing integrated treatment for co-occurring disorders.
  • LMHC-D, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist licensure is required.
  • A valid New York State driver’s license and at least one year of supervisory or management experience are also required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with culturally diverse individuals, staff members, and community service providers.
  • Knowledge of the local behavioral health service system.
  • Ability to multi-task, have good problem solving & time management skills and the ability to remain calm in a crisis.
  • Proficiency in using E-Record.

Nice To Haves

  • three years of supervisory or management experience is preferred.
  • CASAC certification and experience working with children and families are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teams to align processes and practices with organizational values and strategic plans, and support organizational priorities on a weekly, monthly, and long-term basis.
  • Provide leadership with concise, accurate reports on performance, risk, emerging trends, corrective actions, and resource requirements.
  • Ensure attainment of CCBHC performance goals.
  • Ensure the attainment of program KPIs and metrics.
  • Expand services provided to children, adults, and families.
  • Responsible for the integration of SUD, MH, and medical services under the CCBHC.
  • Oversee referral, intake, walk-in, scheduling, and reengagement processes to reduce unnecessary barriers and delays.
  • Adhere to role-specific performance expectations and address variances through coaching, workflow improvement, resource alignment, and formal performance management when indicated.
  • Ensures team-based care and clinical excellence in service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with OMH, OASAS, CCBHC, Medicaid, managed-care, privacy, confidentiality, justice center, grant, contractual, and organizational requirements.
  • Maintain readiness for licensing reviews, audits, monitoring visits, surveys, and payer review reviews; ensure findings result in timely, sustained corrective action.
  • Ensure Incidents, complaints, grievances, medication or safety concerns, and other reportable events prompt review, required notification, root-cause analysis, and follow-up.
  • Recruit, select, onboard, develop, and retain effective staff; maintain succession and coverage plans for essential functions.
  • Provide consistent supervision and performance feedback to direct reports, with clear goals, documented follow-up, and accountability for results.
  • Provide times and substantive clinical and administrative supervision; ensure that staff competencies are assessed and developed.
  • Model respectful, transparent leadership with clear professional boundaries; effectively address conduct that undermines trust or client care.
  • Facilitate motivational team building and group supervision, including team support for any corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Facilitates intra-departmental collaboration to ensure that all departments are communicating effectively and supporting one another as needed.
  • Monitor revenue, expense, staffing, service volume, denials, and other financial indicators; and implement corrective plans when performance varies from target.
  • Use staffing and other resources responsibly while protecting access, safety, clinical quality, and required program functions.
  • Support grant implementation, contract deliverables, service expansion, and sustainability planning.
  • Lead and participate in general, staff, in-service and supervisory meetings held by the agency.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with community groups, referral sources and service agencies, including assurance of customer service recovery.
  • Participate in and provide community presentations, in-services, and training programs.
  • Participate in the agency on call rotation.
  • Perform other duties and functions as needed and directed.
