Sr. Developer - Python
About The Position
The Sr. Developer will join a data masking engineering team focused on defining and automating processes for end users who need masked data. Working with architects, the developer will help create feature roadmaps, develop services for data masking, and implement client feature requests. The team is building microservices that automate data masking, including taking backups into a masking environment and carrying out operations to ensure data is correctly obfuscated. The role also includes helping build and maintain RESTful APIs. The developer is expected to learn quickly, plan and adapt, deliver on commitments, work across the organization, and independently solve problems. They will work in an Agile Scrum team and explain technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- Expert proficiency in Python.
- Experience with AWS basics.
- Proficiency with RESTful APIs and knowledge of the OpenAPI Specification.
- Experience with databases, primarily relational databases.
- Proficiency in Linux and idempotent distributed software development, including Kubernetes, Docker, and EKS.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and GitLab.
- Agile Scrum skills and experience working with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve issues independently.
- Ability to explain technical solutions to technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to work across the organization, learn quickly, plan and adjust, and deliver on commitments.
- Strong sense of urgency.
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of the Delphix Masking Tool.
- Experience with Java.
- User experience skills, such as experience with a user interface framework or web development.
