About The Position
An established and rapidly growing women's fashion brand is seeking a Senior Fashion Designer to lead the development of trend-forward collections across multiple product categories. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly creative designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of contemporary fashion, social media trends, garment construction, and product development. Working closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, you'll help shape seasonal direction, create commercially successful products, and bring innovative concepts from inspiration to finished garment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in contemporary or women's fashion design.
- Proven experience with illustrator and excel.
- Need to be comfortable passing off tech-packs
- Strong portfolio showcasing trend-driven apparel collections.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and apparel CAD development.
- Deep understanding of garment construction, fit, patternmaking, and technical design.
- Experience creating comprehensive tech packs and managing product development timelines.
- Ability to interpret runway and emerging fashion trends into wearable, marketable products.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
- Resourceful problem-solver who performs well under tight deadlines.
- Positive attitude with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-volume collections across contemporary women's apparel categories.
- Work with overseas vendors, sourcing and manufacturing.
- Research emerging fashion, lifestyle, and cultural trends to identify new opportunities before they reach mass adoption.
- Create original concepts, sketches, CADs, color stories, and presentation materials.
- Drive the design process from initial inspiration through final production.
- Source fabrics, trims, embellishments, and materials that align with aesthetic, quality, and cost objectives.
- Build and maintain detailed tech packs, garment specifications, and construction documentation.
- Collaborate with product development, production, and technical teams throughout the sampling process.
- Participate in fit sessions and provide design direction to refine silhouettes and overall garment execution.
- Analyze competitive brands, runway trends, consumer behavior, and market opportunities.
