Sr. Designer

AdobeLos Angeles, CA
$89,600 - $200,150

About The Position

Adobe empowers everyone, everywhere to imagine, create and bring digital experiences to life. We are looking for curious, ambitious makers who want to help define world-class creativity in this new era. Adobe Creative is Adobe’s in-house brand-creative engine, developing the ideas, campaigns, and assets that power Adobe’s brand and business. We are part of the broader Content & Creative (“C&C”) organization. Adobe Creative is looking for an exceptional Senior Multidisciplinary Designer to create beautifully crafted, culturally relevant work across Adobe Creative’s output. You will work across campaigns, multi-platform design, product storytelling, motion and live experiences, moving confidently between early visual exploration, design development and polished final execution. Working alongside Design leaders, Creative Directors, Art Directors, Copywriters, Strategists and Product partners, you will help turn ideas into distinctive visual expressions that feel recognizably Adobe without becoming repetitive or formulaic. You will combine exceptional design craft with curiosity for emerging technology. You will use Creative Cloud, Firefly and AI-enabled workflows to explore more widely, prototype more quickly and make stronger work without compromising taste, originality or human judgment. You are a maker first. You care deeply about typography, image-making, composition, and the details that make an idea feel fully resolved.

Requirements

  • You consider yourself a maker first. AI fluency is how you work, not a skill you are developing.
  • 6+ years of experience in design, art direction, or multidisciplinary creative practice.
  • A standout portfolio demonstrating exceptional design craft across multi-platform campaigns and product storytelling.
  • Deep expertise in typography, layout, image-making, and visual composition.
  • Strong fluency across digital, motion, and emerging design practices.
  • Strong conceptual thinking and the ability to carry an idea from exploration through final execution.
  • Experience working across both high-velocity creative and highly crafted flagship work.
  • Experience applying brand systems in ways that feel distinctive and alive.
  • Strong systems thinking and experience creating modular frameworks, templates or reusable creative tools.
  • Fluency with Adobe Creative Cloud, Firefly and AI-enabled visual workflows.
  • A clear perspective on how generative AI changes visual exploration, authorship and production.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with Copy, Motion, Strategy and Production.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • A genuine and current understanding of culture, design, art, technology and emerging visual practices.
  • The ability to balance speed, experimentation, and craft.
  • A maker approach, curiosity and a commitment to continuously improving the work.

Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality design across campaigns, multi-platform design, product storytelling, and live experiences.
  • Develop work from early concept and visual exploration through design development and final execution.
  • Apply exceptional craft across typography, image-making, layout, composition and art direction.
  • Work across high-velocity everyday output and highly crafted flagship work.
  • Adapt strong ideas across channels and formats without losing their intelligence or visual impact.
  • Create work that feels connected and recognizably Adobe while remaining fresh, distinctive and culturally relevant.
  • Partner with Creative Directors, Design Directors and Art Directors to develop visual territories and creative systems.
  • Translate campaign and creative ideas into compelling art direction and design expression.
  • Collaborate with Copywriters to develop visual and verbal ideas as one connected creative system.
  • Create mood boards, prototypes, and design studies that help teams explore and align early.
  • Know when to explore broadly and when to refine toward a clear, production-ready solution.
  • Bring a strong visual point of view while remaining open to collaboration and critique.
  • Create modular frameworks, templates and reusable design tools that support speed without losing craft.
  • Help translate Adobe’s brand system into distinctive creative expression across real work.
  • Test how design ideas perform across channels, formats and audience needs.
  • Find opportunities to improve tools and workflows based on real creative applications.
  • Balance systematic thinking with experimentation, surprise and flexibility.
  • Document design thinking clearly so others can apply it effectively.
  • Use Creative Cloud, Firefly and emerging generative tools throughout concepting, prototyping and production.
  • Use AI-enabled workflows to expand visual exploration and accelerate iteration without lowering the standard.
  • Apply human judgment, taste and craft to all AI-assisted work.
  • Help define where AI can support scale and where human authorship and intervention remain essential.
  • Test emerging Adobe capabilities through real creative work and share useful feedback with Product teams.
  • Apply responsible AI practices, including provenance, creator rights and Content Credentials.
  • Work closely with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Copywriters, Motion Designers, Strategists, Producers, Product and Product Marketing.
  • Present work clearly, explain design decisions, and respond constructively to feedback.
  • Partner with Production to carry ideas into execution while protecting their creative intent.
  • Collaborate with photographers, illustrators, artists, studios, and specialist partners when required.
  • Maintain a high design standard through fast timelines, multiple workstreams, and changing priorities.
  • Take ownership of your work while contributing generously to the ideas and development of the wider team.
