About The Position

Sr Designer, User Experience located in Bellevue, Washington will create, evaluate, and modify prototypes to support evolving hardware and software application development. Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assist in developing design concept and implementation; provide input on user design considerations; develop and apply software design and usability processes for the investigation of technical problems; provide product usability, evaluation, and support to product development teams, including the analysis and investigation of applications and systems including tactile methods, visual graphics, web multimedia, visual graphics, web multimedia, voice response, and conversational user interaction; produce specifications describing user requirements and internal structures for product in development; develop user profiles, with emphasis on human error control, display issues, visual interaction, physical manipulation and task and objective analyses; assist in conducting user research to inform design decisions and evaluate designs; clearly and effectively communicate ideas, research findings, sketches, and other deliverables to the business and leadership; and work with and collaborate within a cohesive design team and with the larger organization. Perform design thinking: solving user pain points and delivering user experience flows utilizing UX industry prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, and Adobe XD). Deliver mockups and clickable prototypes of web and application interfaces for business/stakeholder review and facilitating user research studies. Use Information architecture to illustrate the future state of website/application navigation and content groupings.

Requirements

  • Experience using Design thinking processes including heuristic evaluation, competitive analysis, problem definition, wireframing, prototyping and testing, to solve user pain points and deliver simple and intuitive user experience flows to Product and Engineering partners.
  • Experience using UX industry prototyping tools including Figma, Sketch, or comparable tools to deliver mockups and clickable prototypes of web and app [iOS and Android] interfaces for business/stakeholder review and facilitating user research studies.
  • Experience solving complex problems through customer journey mapping, user flows, facilitating design discussions, and presenting a final user interface design through mockups to drive product feature conversations between cross-functional partners, including Product Managers, Engineering, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Experience using Information architecture through techniques including Gestalt principles, understanding mental models of our users, card sorting and tree testing exercises, in order to illustrate the future state of website/app navigation and content groupings.
  • Experience partnering with user researchers to drive Usability testing through methods including contextual inquiry, user interviews, think out loud studies, and A/B tests on concept designs.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related, and three years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related, and five years of relevant work experience.
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
