About The Position

Individual will be responsible for the development of process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), piping plan and section diagrams, general arrangements and isometrics and other complex engineering drawings in a 2-D or 3-D environment. Individual will be responsible to check drawings for accuracy including dimensions, spelling, drafting standards and completeness utilizing correct project design criteria. Participation in field walk downs, as necessary, to obtain measurements, verify as-built documentation, and develop field sketches in support of plant modifications and design installations will occasionally be required. Position requires the individual to exercise independent judgment to develop designs with minimal direction from Design Supervisor, Design Lead or Engineering and will concurrently support multiple projects. The individual will communicate with project engineers and other disciplines to develop drawings and resolve design discrepancies. The ability to interface with the customer and their construction representatives to integrate designs to satisfy their standards as well as a proven ability to oversee multi-disciplined design projects is a must for this position.

Requirements

Experience with process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
Experience with piping plan and section diagrams
Experience with general arrangements and isometrics
Experience with complex engineering drawings in a 2-D or 3-D environment
Ability to check drawings for accuracy including dimensions, spelling, drafting standards and completeness utilizing correct project design criteria
