This role provides design and drafting services, including detailed design layouts of P&IDs and orthographic plans, sections, and details in both 2D and 3D, as well as back-modeling of laser scans. The designer will assign work to drafting personnel and oversee its timely completion. Responsibilities include interpreting and applying SPR specifications and current piping codes to drawings, preparing revisions to technical baseline drawings to reflect as-built conditions, and researching associated drawings to ensure all affected drawings are updated via change notices (CNs). The role also involves on-site field work, creating field sketches, researching and maintaining drawings in the SPR document management system, and creating work instructions and providing training assistance to drafting personnel. Checking duties include verifying the accuracy of drafting work, ensuring adherence to all drafting disciplines, and confirming that completed work aligns with red-lines, CNs, SPR standards, and that all affected drawings are updated. The designer will also provide input into the creation of SPR standards and symbols and prepare daily and weekly work status reports.
