Sr. Design Engineer

Niagara Bottling•Diamond Bar, CA
•$99,618 - $144,446

About The Position

The Sr. Design Engineer is responsible for initial and ongoing evaluation, feasibility analyses, and optimization of Niagara’s Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) system designs. These systems include product water processing, wastewater processing, cooling and chilled water, high- and low-pressure compressed air, steam processes, HVAC, natural gas processes, and bottling and injection-molding production equipment. The role assesses utility systems, models consumption for expansion initiatives, supports improvement projects, and troubleshoots plant system challenges remotely or onsite. It creates and maintains system documentation, including utility balances, electrical single-line diagrams and loads, utility control and operation plans, and bid packages. It also evaluates, designs, and supports upgrades and plant projects, including developing design drawings and coordinating bids and execution. The engineer provides onsite startup and commissioning support, creates startup and commissioning reports, and documents operating parameters to compare actual performance with manufacturer design and identify deviations. The role combines in-office system design with hands-on troubleshooting and analysis on the manufacturing floor, working directly with contractors, vendors, and colleagues in other departments. The position may require 25% travel.
