About The Position

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking an experienced Delivery Practice Manager (DPM) to join their ProServe Shared Delivery Team (SDT). In this role, the DPM will manage a team of ProServe Delivery Consultants and support AWS enterprise customers through transformative projects, acting as a strategic advisor to customers, partners, and internal AWS teams. Responsibilities include building and managing a team of Delivery Consultants and/or Engagement Managers, working with customers and partners to architect and implement innovative solutions, and engaging with Director, C-level executives, and governing boards. The DPM is also responsible for opportunity capture, driving engagement delivery, working closely with partner teams, driving business development initiatives through thought leadership, providing portfolio guidance and oversight, and meeting customer satisfaction targets. A key focus is on understanding and defining business outcomes for customers by building trust, identifying applicable AWS Professional Services offerings, and creating proposals and SOWs. The role involves optimizing team performance through tailored people development plans, ensuring teams are aligned to customer needs, and possess the skills and capacity to address customer outcomes. Success is measured by consistently delivering customer engagements on time, within budget, and exceeding customer expectations, as well as holding the Practice total utilization goal.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of IT and/or Management Consulting, or 3+ years of people leadership experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related field
  • Knowledge of compliance and security standards across the enterprise IT landscape
  • Experience managing and delivering large-scale enterprise IT projects
  • 7+ years of experience in SAP Technical or Functional areas

Nice To Haves

  • Experience integrating AWS cloud services with on-premise technologies (e.g., Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP)
  • Experience building and maintaining C-level client relationships
  • Experience with communication, presentation, and negotiation
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related field
  • AWS certification
  • Experience in project management including resource planning, managing schedules, reporting project status and prioritizing tasks
  • Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership

Responsibilities

  • Building and managing a high-performing team of Delivery Consultants
  • Collaborating with Delivery Consultants, Engagement Managers, Account Executives, and Cloud Architects to deploy solutions and provide input on new features
  • Developing and overseeing the implementation of innovative, forward-looking IT strategies for customers
  • Managing practice P&L, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery of customer engagements
  • Driving business development initiatives and exceed customer satisfaction targets
