About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking a highly technical, experienced data professional to join their System Strategy Team in the role of Sr. Data Science Analyst. This role serves as a subject matter expert and strategic partner across the organization, leading complex analytics initiatives, mentoring junior team members, and delivering insights that inform clinical and operational decision-making. The analyst will work closely with leadership and stakeholders to transform complex data into actionable strategies that improve performance and patient outcomes. This role supports IU Health’s enterprise analytics and business intelligence efforts, including building dashboards, delivering advanced reporting solutions, conducting strategic analyses, integrating data from multiple sources, partnering with stakeholders, and leading technical projects with minimal oversight. The Sr. Data Science Analyst ensures the effective use of financial and operational data, applies advanced analytical techniques, and communicates findings clearly to stakeholders while driving system-wide performance and outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Expert Level MS Excel, MS SQL Server, and MS SSRS skills
• Ability to lead teams through complex, technical projects required
• 7–10 years of experience required
• Demonstrated experience in the healthcare industry required
• Significant experience using Tableau, QlikView, Business Objects, Power BI, or other BI tools required

Nice To Haves

• Masters preferred
• Familiarity with data visualization best practices strongly preferred
• Familiarity with healthcare claims and billing process preferred
• Knowledge of Indiana healthcare provider landscape preferred
