Sr Data Engineering Manager
About The Position
The Sr Data Engineering Manager will own Palms’ data processes, data applications, and data engineering team. The data team supports a portfolio of internal custom and third-party applications, as well as external platforms including the Palms Data Warehouse, Power BI dashboard reporting, ad-hoc data reporting, Claims Management, and Bordereaux (BDX) import systems. As Palms grows and invests in new capabilities and applications, this role will advise and support new applications as they are added to the portfolio. The posting also describes responsibility for Information Technology aspects of FPL Energy Services, including overseeing long-term IT strategy, supporting day-to-day IT activities, interacting with the FPL Energy Services Lead team, and researching future IT landscape opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 10 or more years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Own Palms’ data processes, data applications, and data engineering team.
- Advise and support new applications as they are added to Palms’ portfolio.
- Oversee long-term Information Technology strategy.
- Provide guidance and support for day-to-day Information Technology activities.
- Interact with the FPL Energy Services Lead team.
- Research the future of the Information Technology landscape and opportunities.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
