About The Position

The Senior Data Engineer will lead the design and implementation of robust data solutions. The incumbent will be a key player in decision-making processes, with an emphasis on scalability and long-term strategic planning. The role requires advanced technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of data governance and compliance. The Data Engineer II role administers, maintains, develops, and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of database systems. Also responsible for implementing data models and database designs, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues. Must follow organizational policies and standards, as well as industry best practices to ensure integrity, availability, and recoverability for all managed systems and data.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 3-5 Years Related Experience
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of current information technology and an ability to lead project teams to accomplish automation projects of large size and complexity.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft programs; high level proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management.
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal, communication, presentation, organization, prioritizing, decision-making, and planning skills.
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication, project and PC and client/server skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Experience with online technical troubleshooting procedures.
  • 4 years of experience with data related to clinical, financial, or other enterprise domains OR Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data & Analytics, or other quantitative discipline and 2 years of experience.
  • Expertise in relational and non-relational databases.
  • Proficient in data integration and orchestration tools.
  • Advanced skills in big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, etc.).
  • Strong experience with data lakes and data warehouse technologies.
  • Leadership abilities and experience in strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

  • Associates Degree in a Related Field
  • Certification in database technology
  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Data & Analytics other quantitative discipline or equivalent experience
