About The Position

The Senior Data Engineer will lead the design and implementation of robust data solutions. The incumbent will be a key player in decision-making processes, with an emphasis on scalability and long-term strategic planning. The role requires advanced technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of data governance and compliance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 3-5 Years Related Experience
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of current information technology and an ability to lead project teams to accomplish automation projects of large size and complexity.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft programs; high level proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management.
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal, communication, presentation, organization, prioritizing, decision-making, and planning skills.
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication, project and PC and client/server skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Experience with online technical troubleshooting procedures.
  • Expertise in relational and non-relational databases.
  • Proficient in data integration and orchestration tools.
  • Advanced skills in big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, etc.).
  • Strong experience with data lakes and data warehouse technologies.
  • Leadership abilities and experience in strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • 4 years of experience with data related to clinical, financial, or other enterprise domains OR Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data & Analytics, or other quantitative discipline and 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, develop and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of database systems.
  • Implement data models and database designs.
  • Address database capacity issues, replication and other distributed data issues.
  • Follow organizational policies and standards, as well as industry best practices to ensure integrity, availability and recoverability for all managed systems and data.
  • Lead the design and implementation of robust data solutions.
  • Be a key player in decision-making processes, with an emphasis on scalability and long-term strategic planning.
