About The Position

IEM is searching for a Full Time Sr. Data and Reporting Analyst to provide data analytics and reporting support for disaster recovery programs and management. This position can be performed remotely from anywhere in the United States, with a preference for candidates living in Florida to better support core business hours. The role may require travel to complete work assignments or attend meetings. The analyst will be responsible for analyzing large datasets, developing analytical tools, producing reports and dashboards, interpreting results, writing SQL queries, identifying and resolving data inconsistencies, gathering requirements, collaborating with program management and development teams, and optimizing data processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in data science, statistics, business analytics, computer science, informatics, mathematics, data analytics, or a closely related field.
  • Four (4) years of experience in data mining, management or analysis consulting.
  • Willing and able to travel if needed.
  • Advanced to proficient use of all Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL coding and reporting.
  • Advanced knowledge of Power BI.
  • Demonstrated strong data management competencies and characteristics such as integrity, accountability, excellent communication skills and commitment to teamwork.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of federally funded grant programs such as CDBG/CDBG-DR, FEMA HMGP, Treasury ARPA, and CARES Act grants.
  • Basic to intermediate use of SharePoint
  • Strong use of internal controls, policies and processes

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large and complex data sets to identify trends, relationships, risks, and actionable conclusions.
  • Develop data analyses, trend assessments, forecasting models, and other analytical tools that support disaster recovery program decisions.
  • Produce recurring and ad hoc business reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for program management, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Interpret analytical results and communicate findings, recommendations, and potential impacts to key decision-makers, team members, and client stakeholders.
  • Develop and run SQL queries against the Program Data Warehouse in Azure to retrieve, evaluate, and organize program data.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve data inconsistencies or anomalies that could affect reporting accuracy or analytical results.
  • Gather and define client, program, and end-user data and reporting requirements for business analysis projects.
  • Collaborate with disaster recovery program management and system development teams to evaluate business needs and develop data and reporting solutions.
  • Coordinate with program teams regarding data requirements, definitions, changes, reporting expectations, and related impacts.
  • Design and recommend streamlined data collection, reporting, and analytical processes that improve access to reliable program metrics.
  • Optimize database use, reporting design, and joint development efforts to support efficient and scalable solutions.
  • Maintain databases and perform routine data-management activities necessary to preserve data quality and integrity.
