Sr. Data Analyst
About The Position
The Sr. Data Analyst conducts complex data analysis and develops insights that support business objectives. The role creates and maintains advanced reports, dashboards, and data models for business reporting, and translates stakeholder questions into metrics and dashboards. It also builds and maintains dbt models across staging, intermediate, and mart layers; writes and optimizes SQL; and supports dbt deployment CI/CD workflows. The analyst designs and enforces data tests and validation, monitors data quality, troubleshoots pipeline failures, and maintains documentation such as dbt docs, data dictionaries, and lineage. The position uses advanced data cleaning, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data visualization to identify and communicate trends, patterns, and anomalies, including to senior analysts and leaders. It also contributes to data management and analysis best practices and supports multiple projects and deadlines. The position is based in Dallas or Miami with a hybrid work arrangement. Interviews are onsite.
Requirements
- Experience with advanced data cleaning techniques, including normalization, handling categorical variables, and merging datasets.
- Experience using Python, including pandas and NumPy, or R for complex data manipulation.
- Ability to create interactive Power BI dashboards, use calculated fields, and design complex visualizations that communicate a data story.
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices and experience with custom visualizations.
- Understanding of creating and maintaining data models for business reporting.
- Experience with AWS, Snowflake, Azure, AWS Glue, AWS Appflow, Lambda, S3, Funnel, and Athena.
- Extensive experience with data pipeline orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Luigi and data integration platforms such as Apache NiFi or Glue.
- Experience with statistical analysis and predictive modeling.
- Ability to work with large and complex datasets.
- Experience with programming such as Python, Shell Script, and SQL; data modeling; and developing features within hyperscaler cloud environments.
- Basic understanding of GitHub.
- Exceptional ability to influence and engage senior leaders with data-driven insights.
- Expertise in resolving complex, high-stakes problems with innovative solutions.
- Skill in supporting and managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
Responsibilities

- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in datasets and present findings to senior analysts.
- Contribute to the development of best practices for data management and analysis.
- Support and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
