About The Position

InterDent Service Corporation provides comprehensive dental support and administrative services to over 165 dental practices, employing more than 400 dentists across eight states. These practices, including the Gentle Dental® and Blue Oak Dental® brands, offer high-quality, patient-centered dental care. Additionally, InterDent operates Capitol Dental Care (CDC), a capitated, value-based care program in Oregon. CDC partners with coordinated care organizations to deliver dental services under the Oregon Health Plan, focusing on preventive care and improving both oral and systemic health for children and low-income patients since 1994. We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst with strong SQL expertise to join our team. In this role, you will focus on providing analytical support, developing and maintaining marketing, mid funnel, and key financial dashboards while leveraging opportunities to automate reporting in our BI environment. Role Summary  As a Senior Data Analyst, your initial focus will be on reporting to build a strong understanding of the business. As you progress in the role, you will shift to spending 75% of your time using SQL and Power BI to automate reports, build dashboards and lead other key analytic projects.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, financial analysis, or data analytics, preferably in healthcare, dental, or multi-site organizations.
  • Advanced SQL skills for querying and analyzing large datasets.
  • Proficiency in BI tools , with a strong preference toward Power BI or similar.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (Power Query, Macros, VBA a plus).
  • Familiarity with marketing attribution, mid funnel metrics, financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
  • Familiarity with building AI agents using AI tools (such as Claude or ChatGPT) to assist with writing queries and code.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Business Analysis: Required business analysis skillset to QA and validate datasets and insights to build sustainable and replicatable analysis.
  • Vendor Management: Have experience working or directing third party vendors to drive development or analysis.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of healthcare to include marketing, conversion, finance and establishing KPIs.
  • Communication & Presentation: Ability to convey data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and commitment to data integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Marketing and Mid-Funnel Reporting: Assess, analyze, develop and maintain reporting and dashboards for marketing and mid funnel data to measure and optimize business operations.
  • Financial & Operational Reporting: Develop, maintain, and enhance marketing, mid funnel and financial dashboards, KPIs, and ad-hoc reports to support decision-making across InterDent.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate reporting, streamline data processes, and enhance accuracy.
  • Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze lead generation, revenue, expenses, patient volume, and operational efficiency to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and revenue optimization strategies.
  • Business Intelligence Tools: Utilize BI tools (Power BI strongly preferred, Looker, or similar) to visualize financial and operational data, ensuring accuracy and clarity for stakeholders.
  • Data Integrity & Governance: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of marketing data, conversion, patient engagement, financial and operational data by maintaining robust data validation processes and documentation to ensure operational continuity.
  • Collaboration with Key Business Partners : Work closely with key business partners to develop actionable insights that improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Predictive Analytics & Forecasting: Develop predictive models to support marketing spend, conversion, budgeting, financial forecasting, and business growth strategies.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis & Special Projects: Support executive leadership with data-driven recommendations on strategic initiatives and business expansion opportunities.
