About The Position

The Senior Crew Analysis Consultant supports Crew Planning and Air Operations by leading research and analysis that informs Pilot and Flight Attendant staffing, contract planning, and labor strategy. They’ll develop analytical solutions, reporting, and data processes that support the administration of current Crew Collective Bargaining Agreements and provide insights for future negotiations. They’ll partner closely with Crew Planning, Air Operations, Labor Relations, and other Stakeholders to evaluate contractual impacts, solve complex business challenges, and support negotiation efforts as needed. The Senior Crew Analysis Consultant leverages strong analytical, technical, and communication skills to translate complex data into actionable insights and present recommendations to Senior Leadership that support fair, business‑focused solutions.

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Expert level experience, expansive and far reaching knowledge in: Data collection, applied statistics, business analysis, and presentation
  • Expert level experience, expansive and far reaching knowledge in: Scheduling, planning, or operational analysis
  • Expert level experience, expansive and far reaching knowledge in: SQL (Oracle, Teradata, PostgreSQL)
  • Expert level experience, expansive and far reaching knowledge in: Python, R, or other related data analysis resources
  • Expert level experience, expansive and far reaching knowledge in: Presenting to Senior Leadership
  • Expert level experience, expansive and far reaching knowledge in: Tableau or other data visualization software
  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts, holidays, and overtime

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the research and analysis of trends, the development of new processes, tools and reports to support greater efficiency for Crew Planning and Scheduling
  • Mentor Team members and help develop junior Team members within and outside the Team
  • Leverage their own and the Team’s technology skills (SQL, Alteryx, Python, R, Tableau, Big Data Concepts) and business knowledge to provide answers to business requests
  • Transform raw data into easily understood, presentable, and actionable findings, sharing them with Senior Leaders, Employees, and Unions
  • Lead the development, improvement and maintenance of predictive models and forecasting tools
  • Facilitate and teach technical guidance on principles and topics to Crew Planning, Scheduling, Labor Relations, Finance and other departments across the company
  • Lead the analysis of proposed work rule changes and support Labor Relations, Finance and the People Department with crew related data
  • Partner with Technology and other business areas to develop, improve, maintain and correct deficiencies on software and data sources
  • Drive operational and cost improvements for staffing, crew pairings, daily open time assignment, and irregular operations management by conducting analysis using optimization
  • Utilize appropriate data management procedures including privacy standard, ensuring the Team follows the procedures and standards accordingly
  • Interface with and support Leaders in Crew Planning, Scheduling, Training, and other departmental Employees on a daily basis
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
