You’ll be joining CIBC’s Capital Markets Technology group, supporting our Corporate and Investment Banking business teams. As a Sr. Consultant, Business Systems Analysis, you will be responsible for executing business analysis activities within a matrix organization in order to advance assigned business initiatives and ensure project success. You will act as a liaison between project stakeholders by serving as single point of contact with respect to requirement expertise, requirement management process and will actively participate in all phases of a project life cycle. You’ll be working in an Agile environment requiring interactions with multiple business groups, developers, and other support teams across CIBC. Requirements

  • 6+ years’ in a business systems analyst role (preferably supporting a Capital Markets client group) with demonstrated ability to coach and mentor other junior team members.
  • Strong experience working within an Agile environment supporting Enterprise Applications.
  • Good understanding of the Capital Markets business.
  • Proven communication/consultative/facilitation skills required to lead diverse stakeholders to agreement.
  • Focused on improving the client experience by recommending and delivering alternate solutions.
  • Degree/diploma in Computer Science, Business, and/or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs.
  • Build strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements.
  • Build client-focused solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.
  • Build strong relationships and partnerships with technical team members, business team and peers.
  • Demonstrate very strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
