About The Position

The Quality Operations Coordinator is an integral part of the packaging lifecycle—supporting the beginning of run, in-process packaging activities, and end-of-run quality oversight. This role ensures quality standards are consistently applied across operations, maintaining compliance with cGMP, regulatory requirements, and Safecor’s internal procedures. By partnering closely with Production and other teams, this position helps drive a strong Culture of Quality while ensuring processes remain efficient, compliant, and patient-focused.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Working knowledge of Quality standards and manufacturing practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured procedures.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to complete documentation accurately.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a production environment.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to handle moderately complex situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college coursework and/or 0–2 years of experience in Quality Operations, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Follow and support all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), cGMP requirements, and regulatory standards (FDA, OSHA, and other health authorities).
  • Review and recommend updates to SOPs and WIs to improve clarity, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, following all EH&S and safety practices.
  • Inspect and approve line clearance activities prior to packaging.
  • Verify product, components, and materials against batch records.
  • Review and approve required documentation, tags, and forms.
  • Inspect portable equipment and materials before entry into production areas.
  • Confirm machine setup and approve startup readiness.
  • Perform in-process and finished product inspections in accordance with SOPs.
  • Review batch records in real time for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure proper sampling, retention, and documentation.
  • Identify and segregate defective materials and complete required documentation.
  • Maintain control of the production environment during interruptions or issues.
  • Collaborate with Production and Maintenance teams to address deviations and implement corrective actions.
  • Escalate discrepancies or quality concerns to Quality leadership as needed.
  • Conduct vision system audit trail reviews.
  • Inspect and approve room and equipment cleaning.
  • Verify reconciliation of product and labeling, ensuring discrepancies are investigated.
  • Review and approve all associated documentation and clearance activities.
  • Provide coverage across multiple packaging rooms as needed.
  • Actively participate in site improvement initiatives to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts aligned with company goals and quality standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Quality leadership.
