About The Position

The selected person will serve as a senior member of the SEWP Procurement and Contract Execution (SPACE) Team within the NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) office. This member will provide support to leadership and the appropriate civil servant(s) with all activities relating to SPACE. The Team Member will advise SEWP leadership on pre- and post-award contracting issues that may impact the NASA SEWP Program Management Office (PMO) while developing and maintaining processes in support of the overall activities of the team. The Contracting Team prepares and monitors relevant documentation in accordance with federal regulations for the administration of SEWP contract holders' contracts, including contract awards, modifications, evaluations, novations, and others. The Team Member will, in a hands-on fashion, coordinate with civil servants and participate in the activities of the team to best support the SEWP customer in a timely and accurate fashion, providing advice, assistance, and proactive recommendations on SEWP programs and initiatives and help to advise other team members as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field is required
  • 10+ years' experience in the federal government acquisition/contracting industry, with 1102 and/or GWAC experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with federal government contract vehicles, especially NASA SEWP, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts, and Government Wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs)
  • Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) and related requirements
  • Knowledge of current industry trends, including experience with federal contract documentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.)
  • Must meet [Specific Agency/Contract] requirements.
  • Federal contracting certification (such as DAWIA)

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated success in Federal Contracting
  • Familiarity with FPDS, CPARS, and similar federal contracting data systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general assistance and support to SEWP civil servant contracting staff in accordance with the FAR and NASA contracting regulations, including drafting documents, monitoring of vendor responses, and data entry, preparation, and management
  • Prepare and assist with SEWP mods, reports, and overall support, including drafting and filing contract documentation, providing first-tier support for help desk tickets, and the processing and tracking of all contracting documents (including letters of authorization, delivery orders, and subcontracting reports)
  • Analyze and research team needs and activities and make recommendations to SEWP leadership
  • Work with other SEWP teams to follow up on outstanding issues, projects, and opportunities
  • Contribute to and participate in SEWP initiatives for training, process development, data capture/analysis, etc
  • Understand and report on NASA contracting practices, trends, and requirements
  • Understand and provide training on the SEWP provider processes, including development of best practices and improvements
  • Provide tactical SEWP support in the preparation and management of contracting documentation and information
  • Develop a detailed understanding of SEWP processes, particularly the rules and procedures for contract holders
  • Assisting SEWP staff with contract administration data and documentation requirements and procedures with Contract Holders
  • Develop an understanding of the SEWP program and related tools, including the ability to provide guidance to team on how to use them
  • Drive, attend, and participate in SEWP meetings and report relevant information to leadership
  • Ability to travel locally (up to 20%) / within CONUS (up to 10%)
