This position is responsible for the comprehensive coordination, implementation, and evaluation of trauma related education, outreach, and injury prevention activities for Ohio Health Trauma Centers. This position enhances the relationship between OhioHealth Trauma Centers and referring hospitals (non-trauma and trauma centers) throughout areas of Ohio and surrounding states in order to promote the collaborative networking system required for a successful state/regional trauma system in compliance with the standards of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) for Trauma Center verification status. Advisors evaluate and develop strategies to improve trauma care through process change and educational opportunities. The Trauma Advisor collaborates with the individual trauma centers to provide essential deliverables required for successful verification by the ACS. This position is accountable for building an integrated program of outreach, education, and injury prevention program for OhioHealth Trauma Services. The Advisor will collaborate with system level partners, referring centers, EMS, and community members to establish OhioHealth Trauma programming within the region and throughout the state of Ohio. Additionally, the Advisor coordinates programming for marketing and business development activities to internal and external customers.
