The Senior Sales Operations & Incentive Compensation Analyst is responsible for enabling the Sales Organization through advanced analytics, scalable reporting solutions, and effective administration of sales incentive compensation programs. This role will lead reporting infrastructure and data warehouse initiatives to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable insights, ensuring clarity, consistency, and integrity across commercial data, reporting, quota setting, and compensation processes while supporting internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 4–6+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Incentive Compensation, Revenue Operations, or Analytics, preferably in a high-growth commercial organization.
  • Hands-on experience administering Xactly (or similar incentive compensation systems), including commission calculations, plan configuration, and reporting.
  • Strong proficiency in Tableau (or similar BI tools) to build dashboards, automate reporting, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Experience working with Salesforce CRM, including data management, reporting, and sales performance analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting quota setting, sales planning, and incentive compensation design and administration.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling; macros a plus).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into business recommendations.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and execute in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy, validation, and process consistency.
  • Ability to manage ad hoc requests and adapt quickly to changing business needs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present insights to sales leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset and continuous improvement orientation.

  • Experience with data automation and transformation tools (e.g., Dataiku, SQL, or similar platforms) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain scalable reporting, dashboards, and scorecards to track sales performance.
  • Support data warehouse initiatives and automate data processes to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy.
  • Lead quota setting processes, including modeling, validation, and alignment with sales leadership.
  • Administer Xactly, including commission calculations, system maintenance, and process optimization.
  • Manage monthly and quarterly incentive compensation cycles, ensuring data accuracy, rule adherence, and timely payouts.
  • Partner cross-functionally to design and support incentive compensation plans and conduct equity/fairness testing.
  • Prepare payroll-related compensation documentation in coordination with Finance.
  • Analyze sales and compensation data to identify trends, resolve inquiries, and provide actionable insights.
  • Support sales incentive programs (e.g., contests, spiffs) including tracking, eligibility, and reporting.
  • Deliver Salesforce effectiveness analytics and communicate insights to sales and marketing leadership.
