About The Position

SpaceXSI is seeking a senior commercial counsel to lead negotiations for its largest and most complex commercial agreements, including high-value enterprise agreements for AI products and services, strategic partnerships, and hyperscaler, technology, and vendor agreements. The role advises leaders in Sales, Business Development, Finance, and Product; establishes negotiation positions; and mentors junior counsel. The position must be performed in the office five days per week.

Requirements

At least 8 years of legal experience.
Juris Doctor (JD).
License to practice law in California or New York, or eligibility to register as in-house counsel.
Experience leading negotiations on commercial transactions.
Must be able to work in the office five days a week.
Must meet U.S. Government export-control requirements: be a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, or be eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Responsibilities

Lead negotiations of high-value, strategic, and novel agreements, including enterprise, partnership, hyperscaler, and technology deals.
Advise business leaders on deal structure and risk, and own decisions on non-standard terms.
Set and refine the team's negotiating positions, playbooks, and escalation paths.
Mentor more junior counsel and review their work.
Build legal structures and processes that speed up sales while managing risk.
Support the Legal team wherever needed, including on unfamiliar matters.
Use SpaceXSI's AI products every day to learn faster and work smarter.
