Position Responsibilities: • Develop new measurement programs for machined parts using Zeiss CMM (Calypso software) and Mitutoyo CMM (MCOSMOS software), as well as optimize existing programs. • Build CMM fixtures for new machined parts and improve and standardize existing fixtures. • Participate in meetings and print feasibility analyses with the cross-functional team. • Use other measurement equipment such as micrometers, gauges, calipers, VMS, profilometers, and Contracer to measure developing parts when the CMM is not the optimal solution. • Train quality technicians to operate newly developed programs, troubleshoot and resolve program errors, and implement updates based on drawing changes. Specific Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities Required: • Experience in a machine shop environment and/or with machined parts. • Experience with PPAP (Production Part Approval Process). • Proficiency with hand tools and precision measuring instruments. • Ability to read and understand blueprints and GD&T, as well as interpret CMM reports. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. • Professional certification in Calypso and/or MCOSMOS is a plus. Position Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent (Technical, Associate’s, or Engineering degree preferred). • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in CMM programming. • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (22 kg); requires walking, standing, and bending for extended periods; specific vision abilities required for data validation.
