About The Position

The Sr. Cloud Engineer builds cloud-based solutions and containerized applications, with a focus on AWS, Golang, and secure cloud technologies. The role contributes to self-service solutions for development teams and implements CI/CD pipelines. The engineer collaborates with technical and non-technical stakeholders, learns new cloud capabilities, solves complex technical problems, and identifies opportunities for thoughtful innovation. Preferred experience includes retail financial markets or another highly regulated industry.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or equivalent experience is preferred.
• At least 5 years of working knowledge in cloud and related technologies.
• Experience with AWS services.
• Expertise building containerized applications using Golang.
• Skills in Python, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools and pipeline implementation.
• Experience building secure cloud solutions.
• Proficient communication skills, including the ability to present to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Understanding of how to build self-service solutions for development teams.
• Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn new skills and capabilities, such as new cloud services.
• Enjoyment of contributing to team success and solving difficult technical problems.
• Customer focus and dedication to understanding internal and external customer needs and requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Java and NodeJS.
• Experience in retail financial markets or another highly regulated industry.
