Serves as Project Manager and print technical expert for a key global account sitting onsite at the client’s office (4 days/week, 1 day remote) in midtown Manhattan. The purpose of this position is to facilitate packaging projects in the upfront planning and execution phases of the workflow. As a key facilitator within the supply chain for packaging artwork, you will communicate with clients, design firms, printers, and our operations team to ensure proper printability for packaging. As a key figure within the process, you will help maintain and improve the SGX relationship with the Client, by providing consultative value, excellent service and on-time/in-full delivery. Your primary responsibilities are to collaborate with design clients on the production approach upfront in the early stages of the project, evaluating color development, special finishes, the need for print trials and attending occasional print trials to work directly with printers. As projects progress, you will plan for global “bundles” to be created and shared with regional markets, including gathering key inputs to the process and briefing our operations team on the project scope and requirements. In the execution phase, you will partner with production clients on artwork and prepress scheduling, estimating, timelines and prioritization, potential challenges and issue resolution.
