About The Position

Philadelphia Insurance Companies, a member of the Tokio Marine Group, designs, markets and underwrites commercial property/casualty and professional liability insurance products for select industries. We have been in operation since 1962 and are nationally recognized as a member of Ward's Top 50 and rated A++ by A.M.Best. We are looking for a Sr. Claims Specialist - G/L to join our team! This role involves investigating, evaluating and settling more complex first and third party insurance claims. A typical day will include communicating with all relevant parties, documenting communication and investigation results, investigating claim circumstances to determine coverage applicability, understanding coverages and policy terms, evaluating claims based on facts and policy considerations, and making appropriate payment, reservation, or denial decisions.

Requirements

Investigate, evaluate and settle more complex first and third party insurance claims.
Communicate with all relevant parties and document communication as well as results of investigation.
Investigate circumstances of routine as well as complex claims to determine if and to what extent coverage applies.
Thoroughly understand coverages, policy terms and conditions for broad insurance areas, products or special contracts.
Evaluate each claim in light of facts, policy considerations and corporate direction.
Pay and/or reserve and/or deny coverage as appropriate.
