Claims Examiner to join our growing team in Garden City, NY ! The Sr. Claims Examiner position will manage an inventory of third-party bodily injury and property damage claims arising under a municipal insurer's automobile and general liability insurance policies.
Requirements
- NY General Adjuster’s License
- Relevant experience handling third-party bodily injury and property damage claims
- Relevant experience and knowledge of business of claims adjusting and basic coverages
Nice To Haves
- Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Managing an inventory of third-party bodily injury and property damage claims arising under a municipal insurer's automobile and general liability insurance policies
- Providing superior customer service
- Obtaining favorable claim conclusions through coverage determination, investigation, evaluation, communication, reporting, reserving, negotiation, and subrogation
- Demonstrating excellent skills in investigation, evaluation, communication, computer use, and time management
- Ability to work independently and effectively with clients, brokers, attorneys, and other departments
