Claims Examiner to join our growing team in Garden City, NY! The Sr. Claims Examiner position will manage an inventory of third-party bodily injury and property damage claims arising under a municipal insurer's automobile and general liability insurance policies.

Requirements

• NY General Adjuster’s License
• Relevant experience handling third-party bodily injury and property damage claims
• Relevant experience and knowledge of business of claims adjusting and basic coverages

Nice To Haves

• Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Managing an inventory of third-party bodily injury and property damage claims arising under a municipal insurer's automobile and general liability insurance policies
• Providing superior customer service
• Obtaining favorable claim conclusions through coverage determination, investigation, evaluation, communication, reporting, reserving, negotiation, and subrogation
• Demonstrating excellent skills in investigation, evaluation, communication, computer use, and time management
• Ability to work independently and effectively with clients, brokers, attorneys, and other departments
