About The Position

Corning is a global leader in materials science, known for its innovation in glass, ceramics, and related materials. The Optical Communications segment has evolved into a comprehensive provider of optical solutions, serving both carrier and enterprise networks. This role is crucial for executing and documenting product and document changes within the Windchill system, ensuring alignment with organizational protocols, quality standards, compliance requirements, and customer expectations. The Change Management Engineer will support effective change control throughout the product lifecycle and promote consistency in global document control practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field
  • 5–7 years of experience in quality assurance, quality engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with PLM systems, preferably Windchill
  • Experience in change control, document control, quality systems, or regulated processes
  • Strong attention to detail, process discipline, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong command of the English language (verbal, written, and comprehension)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a regulated industry or manufacturing environment
  • Experience supporting global or multi-site document control processes
  • Familiarity with audit readiness and compliance requirements
  • Experience using metrics to identify process improvements

Responsibilities

  • Execute product and document changes in Windchill in accordance with approved procedures and workflows
  • Ensure change records are accurate, complete, traceable, and properly documented
  • Support compliance, quality, and timeliness of change control activities
  • Support global document control governance through maintenance of standards, procedures, and templates
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to coordinate change implementation and resolve process issues
  • Support audits and inspections through accurate and accessible documentation
  • Identify process gaps and support continuous improvement actions
  • Provide user guidance on change management and document control requirements
  • Act as SME on change management and provide training on established procedures
  • Track metrics related to change control and document governance performance
