About The Position
Coding Endoscopic Procedures for the Gastroenterology Dept. This role involves abstracting relevant clinical information from medical records and assigning GI Procedural ICD-10 and CPT/CDM codes in accordance with coding and reimbursement guidelines. The position requires maintaining daily coding, charge entry, and reconciliation functions for all assigned GI Physicians, with an expectation of 95% accuracy and a productivity of 75-85 procedures daily. The coder will interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Graduate of a HIM or related coding program
- CPC certification required
- 1-2 years of Physician Coding experience preferred
Responsibilities
