About The Position
Coding Endoscopic Procedures for the Gastroenterology Dept. This role involves abstracting relevant clinical information from medical records and assigning GI Procedural ICD-10 and CPT/CDM codes in accordance with coding and reimbursement guidelines. The position also includes maintaining daily coding, charge entry, and reconciliation functions for all assigned GI Physicians, expecting 95% accuracy and productivity of 75 – 85 procedures daily. The role requires interaction with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Graduate of a HIM or related coding program.
- CPC certification required

- 1-2 years of Physician Coding experience preferred
