About The Position

The Sr. Card & Digital Payments Specialist performs a variety of Card & Digital Payments functions in a timely and accurate manner according to established guidelines and procedures. The role maintains advanced knowledge of assigned Card & Digital Payments duties. This position completes commercial and consumer tasks related to debit, credit and gift card activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years’ related card processing experience.
  • 3-5 years problem resolution experience.
  • Intermediate Windows-based PC computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Good organization and time management skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate common office equipment and 10-key calculator.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, friendly, and accurate service to internal and external customers for debit, credit and Zelle related inquiries.
  • Process and monitor incoming calls, work orders and service requests.
  • Communicate professionally and efficiently with all departments to promote teamwork and high-quality member service.
  • Analyze transactions and fraud alerts for suspicious activity.
  • Conduct research to identify possible fraud and minimize exposure to financial loss.
  • Implement fraud prevention policies and techniques.
  • Handle daily claims which include issuing credits, ordering new cards, updates to the claims database.
  • Process compromised debit and credit cards.
  • Complete periodic requests for department-related activities including but limited to gift card orders, plastic card stock orders, client token administration and orders, MDES provisioning, close fraud cases, Reg E claims.
  • Ensure general ledger reconcilements are completed and submitted.
  • Assist with projects including vendor interaction, internal communication, and marketing efforts.
  • Actively look for and recommend process improvements.
  • Represent the credit union with professionalism and courtesy in all interactions.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards in all interactions and responsibilities.
  • Represent and uphold the Achieva Brand Frame.
  • Support leadership initiatives that position the credit union as a top employer.
  • Participate in annual training or as required by BSA and the Privacy Act.
  • Perform other essential functions as needed or assigned.
  • Travel may be required on occasion.
  • Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends or holidays as needed to meet member and business demands.
