About The Position

The CAPEX Senior Buyer leads strategic sourcing initiatives for capital projects supporting manufacturing operations across the United States. Based remotely in Mexico, this role partners with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and plant leadership to procure production equipment, automation systems, tooling, facilities, and construction-related services. The buyer manages supplier selection, commercial negotiations, contracts, and purchase orders to support business growth and deliver critical investments.

The role requires regular travel to U.S. plants, supplier locations, and project sites. It offers exposure to cross-functional leadership and high-impact projects, with opportunities to drive cost savings and operational improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience; CAPEX project experience is preferred.
• Experience sourcing industrial equipment, automation, tooling, facilities, utilities, or construction services.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and cost analysis skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across multiple locations and functions.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with SAP, Ariba, or a similar ERP system.
• Spanish language skills.
• Procurement or strategic sourcing experience supporting CAPEX projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities for CAPEX projects across U.S. operations.
• Develop and manage RFQs, supplier evaluations, and competitive bidding processes.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, delivery schedules, warranties, and commercial terms.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to help ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Monitor supplier performance, resolve commercial issues, and manage project risks.
• Support strategic supplier development and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Travel to U.S. plants, supplier locations, and project sites as needed.
