About The Position

The Armor Group, a Mason, Ohio manufacturer with more than 90 years of history, is hiring a Buyer or Senior Buyer to own sourcing, build vendor partnerships, and support production. This is a full-time, exempt, on-site position in Mason, Ohio, requiring 40 or more hours per week. The role serves as the purchasing point of contact for assigned business divisions and works with cross-functional teams to keep projects on schedule. Relocation and sponsorship are not available.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Associate's degree.
At least 5 years of experience as a Buyer in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with made-to-print, engineered, and machined parts.
Strong communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and ERP systems.
Understanding of MRP planning and basic familiarity with drawings and specifications.
Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Live within a reasonable commute of Mason, Ohio.
Willingness to work on-site 40 or more hours per week.

Responsibilities

Source and qualify vendors.
Negotiate contracts, payment terms, and OEM and formula pricing.
Manage purchase orders and supply chain activity from request through delivery.
Serve as the purchasing point of contact for assigned business divisions.
Implement VMI programs and manage RTV items.
Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Accounting, and Production to keep projects on schedule.
