This role involves engaging and managing mid to executive-level clients and supplier relationships, supporting Sourcing and Category Management for a wide portfolio of complex and/or critical categories at Kraft Heinz. The position requires establishing and delivering performance goals for categories representing significant spend, leading sourcing projects for supplier selection/optimization, and managing supplier relationships including conducting business reviews and acting as a critical issue point for performance and risk issues. The role also involves researching and developing the supplier base, leading discussions on long-term objectives and market trends, and supporting major supplier issues. Key responsibilities include identifying business needs related to Assurance of Supply, Quality, Service, Cost, and Innovation (AQSCI), supporting the development of multi-year category vision and strategy, building strong business relationships, identifying and evaluating value-generating projects, managing a portfolio of projects, and supporting the supplier selection and RFx award process. The Sr. Buyer will also complete complex contracts, maintain a strong understanding of category dynamics, support Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) through collaboration with data analytics, and ensure the strategic sourcing process is robustly applied. Collaboration with global procurement peers is essential for alignment and support.
