Requirements

  • Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management is required.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze inventory levels, reports (Excel skills) and optimize purchasing strategies.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with suppliers and vendors.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in managing inventory, pricing, LT, Compliance and order fulfillment to avoid errors.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, inventory management software, and Excel for reporting and analysis.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be flexible and able to multi-task in a time-sensitive environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Aviation/Aerospace experience is advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Ordering goods and materials from suppliers based on the demand forecast, current stock levels, and lead times.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms, and monitoring supplier performance. Lead contract negotiations and implementations with suppliers.
  • Ensuring that purchasing activities are done at the most competitive prices and with favorable payment terms to keep costs within budget.
  • Analyzing historical data, market trends, and customer requirements to forecast future demand for products or materials.
  • Tracking inventory levels to ensure the business has sufficient stock without over-ordering.
  • Keeping track of lead times for production, shipping, and receiving to ensure products are available when needed.
  • Tracking supplier delivery times, quality, and overall performance to ensure they meet expectations.
  • Continuously evaluating and improving procurement processes to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance the supply chain.
  • Regularly communicating with internal teams such as sales, logistics and Product managers to align procurement plans with overall business goals.
