About The Position

The Manage Customer Accounts (MCA) Business Systems Analyst team is seeking an individual with an engineering mindset and a passion to engage with Journey partners to understand and drive their goals. MCA's applications serve as the Book of Record for personal and commercial business deposit and chequing accounts, registered deposit accounts, and a Line of Credit product. This critical data is utilized by key banking systems at TD (e.g., Easyweb, Mobile, C3, S3) to provide customer-centric information and services to technology and business partners. The ideal candidate should possess a strong IT background, preferably in Mainframe Host technology, excellent communication skills to bridge Journey needs with technology solutions, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. This role is a key part of the Pod Agile delivery team, involving active participation in numerous Features to enhance and deliver new functionalities for Journey-sponsored and Infrastructure initiatives. Responsibilities include translating complex requirements into clear JIRA user stories using Behavior-Driven Development methodology to ensure delivery outcomes meet customer and stakeholder expectations. The analyst will collaborate closely with Journey partners, Product Owners, Architects, Software Engineers, and Quality Engineers to ensure clarity, facilitate testing, and support deployment. The primary purpose of this role is to translate business needs into technical concepts for technical teams and technical constraints into business language for stakeholders. The role also involves planning, managing, and leading the delivery of system requirements in alignment with standards and frameworks, and providing technical leadership in partnership with various stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, communicate, and manage functional and non-functional requirements.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate
  • 6–8 years of experience as a BSA or similar hybrid Business Analyst/System Analyst role.
  • Advanced understanding of Mainframe Host capabilities, limitations, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in writing detailed user stories with acceptance criteria in JIRA using Gherkin language and creating/maintaining documentation in Confluence.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Proven ability to engage, enable and lead stakeholders to agreement /consensus on requirements and related issues/questions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis for complex issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage specialized domain, product, and systems knowledge to have a thorough understanding of the business, product, and vision; provide business-technology interaction subject matter expertise as well as recognize and drive the focus toward business value.
  • Identify, document, and validate current state technology capabilities/ecosystem and support stakeholders to design the desired future state; provide recommendations and/or direction based on the end-to-end customer experience when making decisions.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to determine solutions, assess impact to existing work processes and systems, and how to manage the integration
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications taking into account non-functional requirements
