About The Position

This senior specialist provides a professional level of operation, analysis and administration for complex issues and programs in one or more various disciplines. The specialist provides skilled work and functional leadership in areas such as budget preparation and tracking, process management, purchasing, communications and change, program implementation, project management, development, data research, analysis, business operations, business intelligence, and tracking, and/or information management. The incumbent may accomplish any or all of the essential functions, or other professional duties of a professional administrative nature. At this career level, the incumbent leads or conducts major, complex, and/or enterprise projects and processes for multiple divisions. Further, he or she may coach and oversee the work of other specialists and related staff.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, optimize, and standardize complex IT processes across multiple teams, creating scalable, well-documented workflows that improve operational efficiency and support AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving diverse stakeholders, balancing competing priorities, facilitating alignment, and driving enterprise-wide process or technology improvements from concept through implementation.
  • Strong understanding of AI enablement within IT environments, including improving process maturity, documentation, data quality, and knowledge management to support AI-driven automation, internal agents, and intelligent enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
  • Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understands Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.
  • Leads enterprise and system-wide process analysis to improve operational flow, service delivery, and organizational efficiency. Identifies complex process issues across teams and systems, defines the scope of analysis needed, evaluates current-state workflows, designs practical future-state improvements, and prepares supporting documentation such as process maps, success measures, business requirements, recommendations, and impact analysis.
  • Uses operational, budget, performance, and trend data to support department planning, forecasting, and decision-making. Reviews data on established cadences, identifies meaningful patterns and variances, and prepares clear reports that help leaders understand operational performance, emerging risks, and opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Performs IT-related operational duties with a strong focus on consistent execution, cross-team alignment, procurement support, asset and technology expense control, senior leader operational reporting, and neighbor engagement experience improvements. Maintains regular operating rhythms to ensure work is reviewed, issues are surfaced, follow-through is tracked, and operational commitments are completed.
  • Analyzes complex operational data and process metrics to improve system performance, reporting accuracy, service effectiveness, and overall operational efficiency. Digs deeply into data to find the hidden message behind performance trends, recurring issues, and process breakdowns, then develops practical recommendations that address root issues and improve sustainable execution. Serves as a project manager for medium to large-sized complex projects with broad scope and organizational impact.
  • Leads operational change across the division and, when needed, across other divisions to improve system-wide execution and sustain measurable performance improvement. Balances people impact with the need for disciplined follow-through, clear accountability, and regular review cadences that help embed improved processes and sustain change over time.
  • Develops and maintains consistent operational metrics, dashboards, reports, and review artifacts that provide current visibility into key initiatives, service performance, process health, and operational execution. Establishes repeatable reporting practices that support regular review, root issue identification, decision-making, and continuous improvement across the ministry.
  • Facilitates enterprise-wide collaboration across IT teams, business units, and enterprise stakeholders to eliminate waste, streamline workflows, resolve process inefficiencies, improve customer experience, and align operational priorities with organizational objectives. Leads cross-functional groups when required to integrate information, standardize operating practices, strengthen reporting discipline, and improve consistent execution across functions.
