Come join our journey! The Sr. Planning Analyst is responsible for supporting the company's business planning, performance management, and strategic initiatives to drive sustainable growth. This role leads the analysis of business performance, development of business plans and forecasts, and coordination of cross-functional initiatives across Sales, Product Management, and Finance. The position plays a key role in supporting the FY27 SAP implementation, business process transformation, and strategic planning activities. The Planning Analyst provides actionable business insights, facilitates alignment between North America and Japan business division, and contributes to the development and execution of both strategic and tactical plans to achieve the company's objectives.

Requirements

  • A four-year degree in business/marketing or a related field is preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience as a Planning Analyst, in Supply Chain, or an equivalent role.
  • Experience within the manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data modeling, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charting).
  • Hands-on experience with SAP is highly preferred.
  • Good understanding of cultural diversity.
  • Strong problem solving, communication and collaboration skills
  • Good communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a strong drive for professional growth and self-improvement
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese is required to ensure seamless communication and coordination with the headquarters in Japan.
  • Ability to adapt to scheduled meetings with the Japan team (twice a week) to accommodate time zone differences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business planning and performance management activities to support the company's strategic objectives and long-term growth.
  • Develop annual business plans, rolling forecasts, KPI dashboards, and management reviews.
  • Analyze business performance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide recommendations to management for decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Finance, and business divisions to align business strategies and execution plans.
  • Develop demand forecasts, sales outlooks, and scenario analyses utilizing data from SAP, CRM, and other business systems.
  • Monitor key business indicators including sales, inventory, backlog, and pipeline performance.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support business growth.
  • Serve as a key Planning representative for the FY27 SAP implementation project.
  • Coordinate business requirements, testing activities, user training, and process alignment across departments.
  • Drive business process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives utilizing SAP and other digital tools.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for planning processes, reporting structures, and business workflows.
  • Lead coordination of planning-related communications, meetings, and reporting activities with Japan business divisions.
  • Support executive discussions through data-driven analysis and strategic recommendations.
  • Act as a liaison between North America and Japan to ensure alignment on business priorities, performance targets, and strategic initiatives.
