About The Position

Citi is seeking a Vice President, Senior Business Associate to join the Americas Research Business Execution team. Reporting to the Head of Research Business Execution, you will support Equity and Global Macro Strategy Research. In this role, you will work directly with senior leadership to deliver business management goals, lead analytical and reporting initiatives, and identify opportunities that strengthen the performance of the Americas Research franchise. This is a high-visibility position where your analytical output and business partnering skills will directly shape how the research business operates and grows.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of experience with a minimum 3–4 years of business management experience within a large organization, with a clear ability to operate independently across multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to build, maintain, and automate data models sourcing from multiple systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver business initiatives from inception to completion, including self-identified improvements and cross-functional projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of an organization and produce polished presentation materials.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a results-oriented approach, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Working knowledge of financial services and demonstrated familiarity with navigating the internal systems and administrative processes of a large financial institution.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience, with a strong numerical or analytical academic background.

Nice To Haves

  • Python and general coding skills are a strong plus.
  • Experience in a communications or marketing function, particularly in the context of business management or financial services.
  • Familiarity with research or markets business environments, including exposure to equity research or macro strategy products.
  • Master's degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience developing business metrics frameworks or communications standards that have been adopted across a team or function.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of core business reporting functions, including delivery of Analyst Scorecards, Client Interaction reporting, and the monthly Analyst Panel League process, ensuring accuracy and timely output for senior stakeholders.
  • Streamline and automate Excel-based models that source data from proprietary databases, reducing manual effort and improving reporting efficiency across the team.
  • Coordinate and compile presentation materials for the Americas Management team, including Marketing and Initiatives Update decks, translating complex data into clear, executive-ready content.
  • Monitor and report on key business metrics monthly, providing management with the visibility needed to make informed operational decisions.
  • Lead the negotiation of market data contract renewals and identify operational synergies to optimize resources and drive cost-savings and budget efficiencies across the research business.
  • Oversee monthly expense tracking and support the annual budgeting process, ensuring financial deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Partner with senior management to lead cross-functional business initiatives from identification through to delivery, driving measurable improvements to business strategy.
  • Develop communications and content that support internal business messaging, stakeholder engagement, and leadership decision-making.
